Practice teaching definition

Practice teaching as used herein and elsewhere in this agreement means active participation in the duties and functions of classroom teaching under the direct supervision and instruction of employees of the District holding valid life diplomas or credentials issued by the State Board of Education, other than emergency or provisional or intern credentials, authorizing them to serve as classroom teachers in the schools or classes in which the practice teaching is provided.
Practice teaching as used herein and elsewhere in this agreement means active participation in the duties and functions of classroom teaching under the direct supervision and instruction of employees of the Center holding valid life diplomas or credentials issued by the State Board of Education, other than emergency or provisional credentials, authorizing them to serve as classroom teachers in the schools or classes in which the practice teaching is provided. The Center will ensure that students have valid fingerprint clearance as normally obtained through Certificate of Clearance prior to placement in schools and classes of the District for purposes outlined in this agreement. The Center will request the student provide evidence of proper tuberculosis screening prior to placement in schools and classes of the District for purposes outlined in this agreement. This screening evidence will include tuberculosis test results and dates of the screening (to be completed within the previous 4 years).
Practice teaching or "Administrative Internship", as used herein and elsewhere in this agreement, means active participation in the duties and functions of the classroom teaching or school site under the direct supervision and instruction of employees of the District. These employees shall hold valid life diplomas or credentials issued by the State Commission on Teacher Credentialing, other than emergency, intern, or provisional credentials, and be authorized to serve as classroom teachers or principals in the schools or classes in which the practice teaching or administrative internship is provided.

  • The State shall provide no payment to the District for services required for any Practice Teaching placements.

Related to Practice teaching

  • Teaching means, for the purpose of Section 1 of this order, the profession of teaching under a certificate from the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing or teaching in an accredited college or university.

  • Practice of pharmacy means providing pharmacist care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, chemical, behavioral, social, pharmaceutical, and clinical sciences. As used in this division, "pharmacist care" includes the following:

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Licensed physician means a person licensed to practice
