POST Basic Certificate definition

POST Basic Certificate. A California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training certificate awarded to a peace officers who has satisfactorily demonstrated proficiency as a California Peace Officer. This proficiency is a result of satisfactorily completing a 12 month probation period in which the Chief must sign a POS Basic Certificate application for award.

Examples of POST Basic Certificate in a sentence

  • Participation in the CIP will be on a yearly basis for those personnel who possess a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate or County equivalent certificate.

  • The probationary period for new hires with previous law enforcement experience and who possess a valid P.O.S.T Basic Certificate shall begin on the date of employment and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months.

  • A lateral transfer employee is generally described as one who possesses a P.O.S.T.   • The employee must be a graduate of a POST certified academy by the date of appointment or possess a POST Basic Certificate*.

  • Possession of a California POST Basic Academy Certificate or a California POST Basic Certificate.

  • Sworn employees not possessing a POST Basic Certificate will complete an eighteen (18) month probationary period.

  • For the purpose of receiving employment incentives, a "Lateral Police Officer" new hire is defined as one who meets all of the following criteria: has at least one (1) year of sworn law enforcement experience, while in possession of a POST Basic Certificate, and the one year of qualifying experience was with a California law enforcement agency, and was employed as a sworn officer in a California law enforcement agency at the time of the City's offer of employment.

  • A lateral transfer employee is generally described as one who possesses a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate awarded by the California Commission of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and is currently employed by an agency in the State of California with at least one year of continuous service as a peace officer performing general law enforcement duties.

  • A Lateral entry is a sworn Police Officer in possession of a P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate at the time of appointment and who formerly worked as a full-time police officer for another law enforcement agency.

  • Class B-2 Certificate Any one of the Certificates executed by the Trustee and authenticated by the Trustee or the Authenticating Agent in substantially the form set forth in Exhibit B-2 and Exhibit C hereto. Class B-2 Certificateholder: The registered holder of a Class B-2 Certificate.

  • Certificate Percentage Interest means, with respect to a Certificate, the percentage specified on such Certificate as the Certificate Percentage Interest, which percentage represents the beneficial interest of such Certificate in the Trust. The initial Certificate Percentage Interest held by the Depositor shall be 100%.

  • Class R-2 Certificate Any Certificate designated a “Class R-2 Certificate” on the face thereof, in the form set forth in Exhibit A-5 hereto, evidencing the Residual Interest in REMIC II and representing the right to the Percentage Interest of distributions provided for the Class R-2 Certificates as set forth herein.
