planned overtime definition

planned overtime means work that is planned in advance and when employees can be given the minimum notice.
planned overtime means overtime where the overtime could have been and/or was foreseen and / or where overtime is worked in accordance with a schedule compiled beforehand. Such overtime includes the performance of routine maintenance; council and committee meetings where minutes must be kept and continues or takes place after normal working hours, traffic and law enforcement work during season, etc.
planned overtime would be considered to be forty-eight (48) hours in advance. Anything less than forty-eight (48) hours would be considered, “Emergency Overtime”. If there are no volunteers the Company shall have the right to request the less senior employee to work.

More Definitions of planned overtime

planned overtime means, for the purpose of this Section 5, prearranged work carried out on a day, afternoon or night when the Employee would ordinarily not be rostered to work. It shall not include inter alia attendances immediately before or immediately after ordinary working hours for the purpose of switching operations and the like. Recognised Workshops means the expression ‘working in recognised workshops’ for the purpose of calculating overtime, Sunday time and Shift work payments is to include all Employees attached to such recognised workshops provided their ordinary hours of labour are 38 per week and they normally work the said hours on weekdays other than Saturdays. Salaried Employees means those Employees classified at Level 4.2 or above or previously classified as IW3A or above. Wages Employee is an Employee who is paid a weekly rate of pay. Weekend means either a Saturday, or Sunday, or a Saturday and a Sunday (i.e. consecutive calendar days).
planned overtime is project work or special events that are planned and scheduled well in advance (e.g. coverage on July 1 for a grounds maintenance person to open and clean up washrooms, etc.). Unforeseen events are not planned overtime.

  • Overtime means work performed by a full-time employee in excess or outside of their regularly scheduled hours of work.

  • DAY WORK means on item of work requiring the employment of labour with or without materials as the case may be, which, in the opinion of the Senior Engineer /Civil-in-charge, is not capable of being evaluated by the accepted methods of measurement or assessment and is paid for on the basis of the actual labour and materials utilised on the particular item of work referred to.

  • Tenant’s Work means all improvements, alterations, fixture, equipment, and signage installation, and furniture placement necessary or appropriate for the conduct of the Permitted Use, including all work described as Tenant’s Work on Exhibit D, attached (the “Work Letter”).

  • Operating Hours means the hours listed in an early learning program parent handbook when the program is open and providing care and services to children.

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement.   • Clock hour means either of the following:

  • Pilot project means an innovative environmental project that covers one or more designated facilities, designed and implemented in the form of an EMSA. (See Section 52.3 of the Act.)

  • Collective Work means a work, such as a periodical issue, anthology or encyclopedia, in which the Work in its entirety in unmodified form, along with a number of other contributions, constituting separate and independent works in themselves, are assembled into a collective whole. A work that constitutes a Collective Work will not be considered a Derivative Work (as defined below) for the purposes of this License.

  • Enrollee point-of-service cost-sharing means amounts paid to

  • Work week means a seven (7) consecutive day week that consistently begins and ends on the same days throughout the year; i.e. Sunday through Saturday, Wednesday through Tuesday, Friday through Thursday.

  • Downtime means the Total Minutes in the Month during which the Cloud Service (or Servers for Server Provisioning) does not respond to a request from SAP’s Point of Demarcation for the data center providing the Cloud Service (or Server for Server Provisioning), excluding Excluded Downtime.
