Petroleum Mining Code definition

Petroleum Mining Code means the "Petroleum Mining Code for Area A of the Zone of Cooperation" to govern operational activities relating to exploration for and exploitation of the petroleum resources in Area A of the Zone of Cooperation contained in Annex B, as amended from time to time by the Ministerial Council in accordance with paragraph 1(b) of Article 6 of this Treaty;
Petroleum Mining Code means the Code referred to in Article 7 of this Treaty.

  • Petroleum Activities in the Special Regime Area shall be governed by this Annex, the applicable Petroleum Mining Code and any regulations issued thereunder.

  • If additional information relative to the CEA becomes available as the remedial action is developed and implemented, the person responsible for conducting the remediation is required to update the CEA to ensure that it reflects what is known about the ground water and its remediation.

  • The Joint Authority, subject to directions from the Ministerial Council, shall be responsible for the management of activities relating to exploration for and exploitation of the petroleum resources in Area A in accordance with this Treaty, and in particular the Petroleum Mining Code and with production sharing contracts.

  • Petroleum Act means the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967 (WA).

Such systems include those containing motor fuels, jet fuels, distillate fuel oils, residual fuel oils, lubricants, petroleum solvents, and used oils.

  • Petroleum Products means gasolines and petroleum oil distillates or blend stocks as further described in Item 10.

  • Petroleum Operations means, as the context may require, Exploration Operations, Development Operations or Production Operations or any combination of two or more of such operations, including construction, operation and maintenance of all necessary facilities, plugging and abandonment of Xxxxx, safety, environmental protection, transportation, storage, sale or disposition of Petroleum to the Delivery Point, Site Restoration and any or all other incidental operations or activities as may be necessary.

  • Liquefied petroleum gas means a mixture of light hydrocarbons (predominantly propane, butane) that is gaseous under conditions of ambient temperature and pressure and that is maintained in a liquid state by an increase of pressure or lowering of temperature;

  • Minerals means any and all ores (and concentrates derived therefrom) and minerals, precious and base, metallic and non-metallic, in, on or under the Property which may lawfully be explored for, mined and sold.

  • Petroleum liquids means crude oil, condensate, and any finished or intermediate products manufactured or extracted in a petroleum refinery.

  • Mineral Resource means a concentration or occurrence of natural, solid, inorganic or fossilized organic material in or on the Earth’s crust in such form and quantity and of such a grade or quality that it has reasonable prospects for economic extraction. The location, quantity, grade, geological characteristics and continuity of a mineral resource are known, estimated or interpreted from specific geological evidence and knowledge.

  • Petroleum Substances means petroleum, natural gas, natural gas liquids, related hydrocarbons and any and all other substances, whether liquid, solid or gaseous, whether hydrocarbons or not, produced or producible in association with any of the foregoing.

  • Petroleum product means gasoline, gasoline−alcohol fuel blends, kerosene, fuel oil, burner oil, diesel fuel oil or used motor oil.

  • Geothermal resources shall collectively mean the matter, substances and resources defined in subparagraph 16(a) and 16(b) that are not subject to this Lease but are located on adjacent land or lands in reasonable proximity thereto;

  • Petroleum Industry Standards means the Definitions for Oil and Gas Reserves promulgated by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (or any generally recognized successor) as in effect at the time in question.

  • Inferred Mineral Resource means that part of a mineral resource for which quantity and grade or quality can be estimated on the basis of geological evidence and limited sampling and reasonably assumed, but not verified, geological and grade continuity. The estimate is based on limited information and sampling gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes.

  • Unleased mineral owner means a royalty interest owner who owns oil and/or gas rights free of a lease or other instrument conveying all or any portion of the working interest in such rights to another. At the time of this order, the unleased mineral owners identified by Ascent include those listed on Exhibit A.

  • Oil and Gas Leases means all leases, subleases, licenses or other occupancy or similar agreements under which a Person leases, subleases or licenses or otherwise acquires or obtains operating rights in and to Hydrocarbons or any other real property which is material to the operation of such Person’s business.

  • Exploration means all activities directed toward ascertaining the existence, location, quantity, quality or commercial value of deposits of Products.

  • Mining means the mining, extracting, producing, beneficiating, handling, milling or other processing of Products.

  • Coal means non-coking as well as coking coal, produced domestically and categorized into different classes, grades and sizes, as per the notification/order issued for such purpose by Government of India(GoI)/CIL/ Seller; and shall where the context so requires, include Imported Coal.

  • Water well means an excavation that is drilled, cored, bored, augered, washed, driven, dug, jetted, or otherwise constructed for the purpose of exploring for groundwater, monitoring groundwater, utilizing the geothermal properties of the ground, or extracting water from or injecting water into the aquifer. “Water well” does not include an open ditch or drain tiles or an excavation made for obtaining or prospecting for oil, natural gas, minerals, or products mined or quarried.

  • exploration area means that part of the Area allocated to the Contractor for exploration, described in schedule 1 hereto, as the same may be reduced from time to time in accordance with this contract and the Regulations;

  • Oil means petroleum in any form including crude oil, fuel oil, sludge, oil refuse and refined products (other than petrochemicals which are subject to the provisions of Annex II of the present Convention) and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, includes the substances listed in Appendix I to this Annex.
