Personal/carers leave. Means leave approved by the employer for absences from work on account of: • Personal illness. • Illness ofFamily member” as defined. • Bereavement as defined in the SAAS Award • Urgent pressing necessity as defined in the Department of Health Human Resource Manual (Special Leave) • Moving house as defined in the Department of Health Human Resources Manual (Special Leave)
Personal/carers leave is defined as leave approved by the employer for absences from work on account of: • Personal illness. • Illness ofFamily member” as defined. • Bereavement as defined. • Urgent pressing necessity as defined • Moving house.
Personal/carers leave means • paid leave (sick leave) taken by the Employee because of a personal illness, or injury, of the Employee; or • paid or unpaid leave (carer’s leave) taken by an Employee to provide care or support to a member of the Employee’s immediate family, or a member of the Employee’s household, who requires care or support because of:

Examples of Personal/carers leave in a sentence

  • The Employer will pay an Employee for Personal/Carers Leave they take at the ordinary hourly rate of pay they would have received had they been at work.

  • Such entitlement to leave shall operate in the same manner as Personal/Carer's Leave operates in the Transport Industry (State) Award.

  • Where an employee is engaged by the Agency on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis from an employer staffed under the Public Service Act, the Parliamentary Service Act or from the ACT Government Service, accrued Annual Leave and Personal/Carer's Leave (however described) will be transferred or recognised, provided there is no break in continuity of service.

  • The entitlement to use Personal/Carers Leave and/or Compassionate Leave in accordance with this subclause is subject to: • the employee being responsible for the care of the person concerned; and • the person concerned being either: • a member of the employee's immediate family; or • a member of the employee's household.

Related to Personal/carers leave

  • Personal care means the provision of hands-on services to assist an individual with activities of daily living.

  • Personal Leave means leave provided for:

  • maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Medical leave means leave of up to a total of 12 workweeks in a 12-month period because of an employee’s own serious health condition that makes the employee unable to work at all or unable to perform any one or more of the essential functions of the position of that employee. The term “essential functions” is defined in Government Code section 12926. “Medical leave” does not include leave taken for an employee’s pregnancy disability, as defined in (n) below, except as specified below in section 11093(c)(1).

  • Annual leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.

  • Personal Services means “the performance of any work or labor and shall also include acting as an independent contractor or providing any consulting advice or assistance, or otherwise acting as an agent pursuant to a contractual relationship.”

The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.

  • Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.

  • Human service zone means a county or consolidated group of counties administering human services within a designated area in accordance with an agreement or plan approved by the department.

  • Family leave means any leave taken by an employee from
