Personal Business definition

Personal Business means the conduct of business for personal financial gain at a conference or meeting which is not specifically related to District business.

Personal Business shall be an acceptable reason for such request.

Personal Business is an obligation or emergency over which the member has no control and which requires immediate attention.

Examples of Personal Business in a sentence

• At no time will an employee have a credit of more than ten (10) Personal Business Days.

• The use of this Personal Business Day is subject to the usual operational need requirement.

• If conference days are curtailed or eliminated due to financial limitations, a Personal Business Day without expenses paid and subject to the criteria for approval of Conference Days, can be used for a Conference Day.

• Employees wishing to be excused for Personal Business leave will not be allowed the leave during the new hire introductory period or during the last two (2) weeks of employment, or the day before or after a holiday, vacation, or sick day except in an emergency, which emergency shall be fully explained and/or documented as soon as possible.

• Personal Business leave as identified in Section 7.1 and 7.2 shall not be granted for the purpose of extending vacation, break periods or holiday time.

More Definitions of Personal Business

Personal Business means an activity that requires the employee's presence during the working day and is of such nature that it cannot be attended to at a time other than during scheduled working hours.

Personal Business is used in this Section, it shall mean business, personal to the employee, of an urgent nature that cannot be conducted outside of assigned working hours, or is of a unique and significant nature and that is not remunerative.

Personal Business means those items of personal business that can only be taken care of during regular working hours of the employee. Personal Business Leave shall be approved or disapproved by the department head in accordance with this section. Departments are to use the earning code PB for this purpose. Personal Business Leave shall be debited against the employee’s Sick Leave balance but Sick Leave taken as Personal Business Leave shall not be taken into consideration for the purposes of the Sick Leave Cash-In program or with regard to employee performance evaluations.

Personal Business is interpreted as religious holiday and other personal matters of such emergency nature as cannot be accomplished outside of school hours.

Personal Business means an activity that requires the employee’s presence during the work day and is of a nature such that it cannot be attended to at a time other than the work day. The notification of the need for such a day must be made in writing at least three (3) days in advance except in the event of an emergency. Leave time shall not be used for vacation purposes.

Personal Business means the conduct of business or travel not specifically related to Agency Business including, but not limited to, commuting between the Employee’s home and any regular work location.
