Period of Maintenance definition

Period of Maintenance means the specified period of maintenance from the date of completion of the works, as certified by the Engineer.
Period of Maintenance means the period during which the contractor is obliged to guarantee the work or defined portions of work against defect and during which he is obliged to perform any maintenance procedure that may be specified by the Engineer-in-charge and shall be calculated from the date of the certificate of completion given by the Engineer-in-charge in accordance with clause 40 hereof or in the event of more than one certificate having been issued by the Engineer-in- charge under the said clause from the respective dates so certified;
