pensionable service definition

pensionable service means service which may be taken into account in computing pension under these Regulations;

pensionable service means (subject to Regulations 2(11), 2(13) and 21) the member’s last or only period of continuous service whilst a member of the scheme in accordance with these Regulations and, in the case of a member referred to in Regulation 2(2)(a)(i), service as defined under the 1967 Regulations, and, in the case of a member referred to in Regulation 2(3)(a) or in the case of a member who transferred into the scheme from the Former Hospital Scheme, contributory service as defined under the Former Hospital Scheme Rules, together with any added years or any period of notional pensionable service awarded under Regulation 17;21

pensionable service means service, which qualifies the teacher to receive a pension from the Government or the University;

Examples of pensionable service in a sentence

• For any years of Pensionable Service in excess of 10, the product of (i) 1 percent of the Member’s Highest Average Monthly Salary, multiplied by (ii) the number of years of Pensionable Service in excess of 10.

• The Member shall be credited with his Salary and Pensionable Service after his Normal Retirement Date, unless otherwise prospectively determined by the Vice President.

• This section applies to a Member who earns Service and Pensionable Service for a period that is after his Annuity Starting Date under the preceding Sections of this Article IV (other than an Annuity Starting Date related to a cashout distribution under Section 5.05).

• His Service and Pensionable Service from his earlier period as an Active Member shall be aggregated with his subsequent period of Service and Pensionable Service for purposes of calculating his Pension upon his later retirement or other termination of employment with both his Employer and the PepsiCo Organization, but only if his Pension with respect to his earlier period of Pensionable Service was not previously cashed out under Section 5.05.

• Under this alternative calculation, only the Member’s Pensionable Service under this DB Program, which does not include any employment that is taken into account in determining benefits under paragraph (c)(1) - (5), shall be considered, and the reductions under paragraph (c)(1) - (5) shall be disregarded (however, the reduction under paragraph (c)(6) shall be taken into account).

More Definitions of pensionable service

pensionable service in relation to the Scheme, means a period of Scheme employment computed in years and complete days;

pensionable service means service which, pursuant to rules prescribed byregulations, shall be taken into account in computing benefits under the defined benefit part of the Plan;

pensionable service. , in relation to a member, means, subject to Article 8(5), (7) and (9), Article 9(5), (7) and (9) and Article 45, the member’s last or only period of continuous service whilst a member of the scheme in accordance with this Order;

pensionable service means in relation to a Member the period, or where appropriate the aggregate of periods, of a Member’s Service as an Eligible Employee of an Approved Employer, which is counted for purposes of determining the amount of benefits under the DB Program payable to, or on behalf of, a Member. Pensionable Service shall also include any other period of employment with a member of the PepsiCo Organization or any Employer for which the Vice President determines to give credit under the DB Program to the Member. Absent special circumstances, as determined by the Vice President, such other period of such prior period of employment will only be counted as Pensionable Service if such Employer maintained a retirement plan to which it made contributions on behalf of eligible employees.

pensionable service means, in relation to a member who was a "pre-2011 member" (within the meaning of the rules of the scheme as they stood on 31 March 2016), and to the period prior to 1 April 2016, a number of years consisting of the aggregate of:

pensionable service means the period of service of a member, used to determine the amount of the benefits payable to a member under this Plan, for which contributions were made by the member or the employer, or are deemed to have been made by the member or by the employer, but does not include service which the member is, because of this Plan, not permitted to count as pensionable service;

pensionable service in relation to the Scheme, means service which qualifies a person to accrue a pension or other benefits under the Scheme;
