Pension Laws definition

Pension Laws means ERISA and all Applicable Laws governing the registration, administration, funding and investment of Pension Plans, including the applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and any other similar legislation.
Pension Laws mean the Ontario Pension Act and Ontario Pension Regulations, collectively;
Pension Laws means all laws and regulations governing pension shares for employees in the United Kingdom, as in effect from time to time.

  • No amendment may contravene the Federal Pension Laws or the Tax Act.

  • If any provision of the Federal Pension Laws or Tax Act referred to in this Agreement is renumbered due to a change in law, then that reference is to be considered to be to the provision as renumbered.

  • In the event of a conflict between the Federal Pension Laws and/or this Agreement with the Tax Act, then the Tax Act will prevail to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict.

  • You will be sent written notice of any amendment that is not due to changes to the Federal Pension Laws and/or the Tax Act.

  • The Company shall provide such other information regarding the Plan, statistical or otherwise, as is required under Applicable Pension Laws.

  • If any provision of the Pension Laws or Tax Act referred to in this Agreement is renumbered due to a change in law, then that reference is to be considered to be to the provision as renumbered.

  • You may request the withdrawal of all of the Locked-In Funds, or the transfer of all of the Locked-In Funds to an RRSP or RRIF that is not locked-in under the Federal Pension Laws, if a physician certifies in writing acceptable to Us that, owing to Your mental or physical disability, Your life expectancy is likely to be shortened considerably.


More Definitions of Pension Laws

Pension Laws means, as applicable, (i) the Pension Benefits Act (Ontario) and the regulations thereunder or other Canadian provincial pension benefits standards legislation and the regulations thereunder and (ii) the ITA and the regulations thereunder.
Pension Laws shall have the meaning set forth in Section 10.23. Permanent Incapacity: A person shall be deemed permanently incapacitated whenever he or she is determined by competent medical authority or authorities selected by the General Partner to be permanently incapable of carrying out his or her functions as an equity holder of the Ultimate General Partner.
Pension Laws means the Employment Pension Plans Act (Alberta), the Employment Pension Plans Regulations (Alberta), the Income Tax Act (Canada), the Income Tax Regulations (Canada) and all other applicable provincial or federal pension standards legislation and regulations thereunder and "Pension Law" means any one of them.

  • Pension Act means the Pension Protection Act of 2006.

  • Labor laws means the following labor laws and E.O.s:

  • Taxation law means the law on taxation in any jurisdiction which applies to the Account or to interest we pay you, for example the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 as amended and any regulation made under it;

  • Data Protection Laws means EU Data Protection Laws and, to the extent applicable, the data protection or privacy laws of any other country;

  • Foreign Benefit Law means any applicable statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order or decree of any foreign nation or any province, state, territory, protectorate or other political subdivision thereof regulating, relating to, or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning, any Employee Benefit Plan.

  • Anticorruption Laws means the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, or any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of the Company Subsidiaries.

  • ERISA means the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended.

  • Pension Benefits Act means The Pension Benefits Act of Ontario and regulations thereunder as amended from time to time.

  • EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;

  • Anti-Corruption Laws means all laws, rules, and regulations of any jurisdiction applicable to the Borrower or its Subsidiaries from time to time concerning or relating to bribery or corruption.

  • Tax Laws means the Internal Revenue Code, federal, state, county, local or foreign laws relating to Taxes and any regulations or official administrative pronouncements released thereunder.

  • Pension Plan means any “employee pension benefit plan” (as such term is defined in Section 3(2) of ERISA), other than a Multiemployer Plan, that is subject to Title IV of ERISA and is sponsored or maintained by the Borrower or any ERISA Affiliate or to which the Borrower or any ERISA Affiliate contributes or has an obligation to contribute, or in the case of a multiple employer or other plan described in Section 4064(a) of ERISA, has made contributions at any time during the immediately preceding five plan years.

  • European Data Protection Laws means the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and data protection laws of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and their member states and the FADP.

  • Bye-laws means the bye-laws of the Company, as amended from time to time.

  • Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).

  • Pension Benefit Plan means at any time any employee pension benefit plan (including a Multiple Employer Plan, but not a Multiemployer Plan) which is covered by Title IV of ERISA or is subject to the minimum funding standards under Section 412 of the Code and either (i) is maintained by any member of the Controlled Group for employees of any member of the Controlled Group; or (ii) has at any time within the preceding five years been maintained by any entity which was at such time a member of the Controlled Group for employees of any entity which was at such time a member of the Controlled Group.

  • Pension Plans The meaning specified in Section 4.1(v).

  • Health and Safety Laws means any Laws pertaining to safety and health in the workplace, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 29 U.S.C. 651 et seq. (“OSHA”), and the Toxic Substances Control Act, 15 U.S.C. 2601, et seq. (“TSCA”).

  • Applicable Data Protection Laws means all national, international and local laws, regulations and rules by any government, agency or authority relating to data protection and privacy which are applicable to CPA Global or the Customer, including but not limited to The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), (GDPR);

  • AML Laws means all Laws of any jurisdiction applicable to any Lender, Holdings, any Borrower, any Guarantor or any of Holdings’ other Subsidiaries from time to time primarily or in any material manner concerning or relating to anti-money laundering.

  • Prescribed Laws means, collectively, (a) the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 (Public Law 107-56) (The USA PATRIOT Act), (b) Executive Order No. 13224 on Terrorist Financing, effective September 24, 2001, and relating to Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Persons Who Commit, Threaten to Commit, or Support Terrorism, (c) the International Emergency Economic Power Act, 50 U.S.C. §1701 et. seq., and (d) all other Legal Requirements relating to money laundering or terrorism.

  • Environmental, Health or Safety Requirements of Law means all Requirements of Law derived from or relating to foreign, federal, state and local laws or regulations relating to or addressing pollution or protection of the environment, or protection of worker health or safety, including, but not limited to, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et seq., the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, 29 U.S.C. § 651 et seq., and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, 42 U.S.C. § 6901 et seq., in each case including any amendments thereto, any successor statutes, and any regulations or guidance promulgated thereunder, and any state or local equivalent thereof.

  • Insurance Laws means all Laws applicable to the business of insurance or the regulation of insurance companies.

  • Anti-Corruption Law means, with respect to any Affected Person, the FCPA and any law, rule or regulation of any jurisdiction concerning or relating to bribery or corruption that are applicable to such Affected Person.

  • Similar Laws has the meaning set forth in Section 3.3(d).

  • EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).
