Examples of Paris Union in a sentence
As requested by the Committee at its 26th session (Budapest, 2002), the World Heritage Emblem, with and without its surrounding text, has been notified and accepted on 21 May 2003 by the Paris Union Member states under Article 6ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, adopted in 1883 and revised at Stockholm in 1967.
The correct application referred to in paragraph (1) of this Article shall be considered to be an application the filing date of which is accorded in compliance with the national legislation of the Member State of the Paris Union or WTO in which it was filed, or in compliance with an international treaty concluded among the member states, regardless of the outcome thereof.
The patent applicant may, subject to the requirements referred to in Article 24 of this Act, claim multiple priorities on the basis of several earlier applications filed in one or more of the Member States of the Paris Union or WTO.
If the applicant for the registration of a trademark has filed the application for the first time in a Member State of the Paris Union for the Protection of Industrial Property (hereinafter: "the Paris Union") or in a Member State of the World Trade Organization, he may, when filing the application for the same trademark in the Republic of Croatia, invoke the date of the first filing, provided that he files the application in the Republic of Croatia within six months from the date of the first filing.
The applicant invoking the exhibition priority right shall, in addition to the application he is filing with the Office, submit a certificate issued by the competent authority of the Member State of the Paris Union or the Member State of the World Trade Organization indicating the type of the exhibition, the venue thereof, its opening and closing dates and the first day of the exhibition of the goods or services specified in the application.
Amendments shall be adopted by a simple majority of the votes cast, provided that the Conference shall vote only on such proposals for amendments as have previously been adopted by the Assembly of the Paris Union and the Assembly of the Berne Union according to the rules applicable in each of them regarding the adoption of amendments to the administrative provisions of their respective Conventions.
The name of the Union is, in most cases, taken from the place where the text of the treaty was first adopted (thus the Paris Union, the Berne Union, etc.).
In the application he is filing to the Office, the applicant invoking the union right of priority shall indicate relevant information pertaining to the application invoked (state, application date and number) and not later than within 3 months from the date of filing the application to the Office, shall submit a true copy of the first application certified by the competent body of a Member State of the Paris Union or the World Trade Organisation and a translation of the true copy in the Croatian language.
Since the introduction of the unitary contribution system, the budget of the Paris Union is part of the budget of the contribution-financed Unions in the Program and Budget of the Organization and the Unions administered by WIPO.
The existing provisions no longer reflect the practice of the Paris Union and WIPO as a consequence of the reforms adopted by the competent Assemblies of WIPO and the Unions administered by WIPO in 1989 and 1991 (for certain changes in classes of contribution) and in 1993 (for the unitary contribution system and for further changes to classes of contribution).
