Oxygenate definition

Oxygenate means an oxygen-containing, ashless, organic compound, such as an alcohol or ether, which may be used as a fuel or fuel supplement.
Oxygenate means an organic compound containing oxygen that has been approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a gasoline additive to meet the requirements for an “oxygenated fuelpursuant to Section 7545 of Title 42 of the United States Code.
Oxygenate means an organic compound containing oxygen and having properties as a fuel that are compatible with petroleum, including, but not limited to, ethanol, methanol, or methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).

Oxygenate means any substance, which when added to gasoline, increases the amount of oxygen in that gasoline blend. Lawful use of any combination of these substances requires that they be substantially similar as provided for under 42 U.S.C. 7545(f)(1), or be permitted under a waiver granted by the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency under the authority of 42 U.S.C. 7545(f)(4).
Oxygenate means ethyl alcohol, MtBE, TAME, or other oxygen-containing, ashless organic compounds.
