Overtime Meal Clause Examples

The Overtime Meal clause establishes the employer's obligation to provide meals or meal allowances to employees who work beyond their regular working hours. Typically, this clause specifies the conditions under which overtime meals are provided, such as the minimum number of extra hours worked or the time of day when overtime occurs, and may outline whether a meal is supplied directly or a monetary allowance is given instead. Its core practical function is to ensure that employees are adequately compensated for extended work periods, promoting employee well-being and compliance with labor standards.
