Other Employment definition

Other Employment means work of a Temporary or Casual nature that may be made available by the Municipality to Laid-off Employees and does not constitute a recall as herein defined, nor does it qualify a Laid-off Employee for seniority accumulation.
Other Employment. The term “Other Employment” means employment with any person, firm, company, corporation, government agency, municipality or Self-Employment, and does not include employment as an Active Member of the Bureau of Fire or Bureau of Police, or work performed as part of an approved Transitional Duty Return to Work Program in accordance with Administrative Rule 5.10.03.
Other Employment means employment on a more than half-time basis. For these purposes, any service as an “employee” within the meaning of M.G.L. c. 149, § 148B shall be considered to be “employment.”

  • The Company acknowledges that Director currently holds other positions (“Other Employment”) and agrees that Director may maintain such positions, provided that such Other Employment shall not materially interfere with Director’s obligations under this Agreement.

  • For purposes of enforcing the terms of this Section 4.2.2.1, you acknowledge and agree that you will provide the Company with written notice of your intent to accept Other Employment, other part-time employment, other employment by a not-for-profit entity, or employment by an affiliate, including, the identity of the entity or person you intend to be employed by, the anticipated start date of your employment and a contact at such entity who can verify your employment terms.

Other Employment means full-time (an average of 35 hours per week or more), active employment with another employer (other than with one of the Altria companies), but shall not include self-employment, consulting, or involuntary recall to active military service. Within 10 days of my acceptance of such Other Employment, I must notify HR Direct in writing of the date such employment is expected to begin. I acknowledge that my failure to notify the Company as required by this Section will constitute a material breach of this Release.
Other Employment means the provision of goods or services by Coach including, without limitation, working as an employee for another employer, as a consultant, as a self-employed person, or as an independent contractor, whether personally or through one or more business entities owned or controlled by Coach; and (ii) the term “Compensation” shall mean any and all gross income derived from Other Employment, whether as wages paid by an employer, as a dividend or other distribution from a business entity owned or controlled by Coach, or otherwise. For purposes of determining the Compensation payable to Coach during the Mitigation Period under circumstances in which Coach’s Other Employment is evidenced by one or more contractual agreements having a term greater than one year (without limiting inclusion of other types of Compensation), any periodically-rated salary, additional or supplemental compensation, or other compensation expressed as a periodic rate payable to Coach in any given year shall be deemed to be the average Compensation of such nature payable under said contractual agreement(s), determined by dividing the total such Compensation payable thereunder for all periods (including periods occurring after the end of the Mitigation Period) by the total number of years occurring during the term thereof. In the event the term of such contractual agreement(s) includes one or more partial years, such Compensation payable in such partial year(s) shall be included in the aforementioned calculation, and each such partial year shall be considered part of the term as a fractional year based on the number of days in such partial year divided by 365, rounded to the nearest hundredth of a year. For example, a contractual agreement beginning on April 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2027 would be considered to have a term of 5.25 years.
Other Employment is defined as employment which would offer a comparable health insurance plan or policy. A health insurance plan or policy is considered comparable if it provides hospital and medical benefits that are substantially equivalent to the standard health insurance plan established under s. 40.52(1)
Other Employment means other substantially comparable employment as Employee shall have held with the Company or an affiliate thereof. Other Employment as used in this Agreement shall include self-employment or employment by any firm or entity other than Yellow, whether as an employee, officer, director, partner, independent contractor, owner or consultant which meets the following minimum conditions:
Other Employment means full-time employment that is generally comparable in scope, responsibility and compensation to the position Employee formerly held with the Company (that is, "other employment" would not include temporary or short-term consulting arrangements or similar employment). Any accrued but unused vacation will be paid in accordance with the Company's usual vacation pay policies, although Employee will not accrue any additional vacation following the Effective Date. Any outstanding reimbursable expenses will be paid to Employee upon submission and approval of those expenses in accordance with the Company's customary practices. During the Term, the Company will allow Employee to maintain his existing office in Los Angeles, California (with reasonable secretarial support) and to use an office telephone in the Los Angeles office for the purposes of rendering consulting services to the Company or seeking other employment, but any other telephone use will be at Employee's own expense. During the Term, the Company will also continue to pay Employee's car allowance ($1,000 per month). With these exceptions, Employee will not incur, and the Company will not reimburse, expenses incurred by Employee following the Effective Date unless such expenses are incurred in connection with Employee rendering the consulting services and are specifically approved in advance by the Company's Chief Executive Officer or Chairman of the Board.
