Other Disability Benefits definition

Other Disability Benefits means the total benefits payable and paid in respect of an Insured Member under all other policies issued by the Company as a result of him becoming totally and permanently disabled or suffering from total and permanent disability (howsoever these terms are defined in the said policies).
Other Disability Benefits means (i) all amounts paid to the Executive as Plan Benefits following the date his employment terminates because of a Disability, and all amounts which, had the Executive so chosen, could have been so paid, plus (ii) the Social Security Benefits payable at the end of any applicable waiting period; provided, however, that if, at the time the Executive's employment terminated because of a Disability, he could not, if he so chose, obtain any or all amounts payable under subclauses (i) of (ii) of this Section 11(g), then any such amounts shall be deducted commencing as of the first day on which he would be (or, if the Executive dies while entitled to receive a Disability Pension hereunder, would have been) entitled to obtain such benefits; it being further provided that any Plan Benefits or Social Security Benefits that are limited in duration (other than on account of death) shall cease to be included as Other Disability Benefits at such time as such benefits cease to be payable.

Payment of Accrued Benefits shall be made promptly in accordance with the Employer's prevailing practice with respect to clauses (i) and (ii) or, with respect to clauses (iii), (iv) and (v), pursuant to the terms of the benefit plan or practice establishing such benefits.

  • mental disability means one or more mental disorders, as defined in the most recent edition of the American Psychiatric Association's "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", or a record of or regarding a person as having one or more such disorders;

  • Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings.   • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Severance from Employment means severance from employment with the Employer and any Related Entity. However, a Severance from Employment also occurs on any date on which an Employee ceases to be an employee of a public school, even though the Employee may continue to be employed by a Related Employer that is another unit of the State or local government that is not a public school or in a capacity that is not employment with a public school (e.g., ceasing to be an employee performing services for a public school but continuing to work for the same State or local government employer).

  • Accrued Compensation means an amount which shall include all amounts earned or accrued through the "Termination Date" (as hereinafter defined) but not paid as of the Termination Date, including (i) base salary, (ii) reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the Executive on behalf of the Company during the period ending on the Termination Date, (iii) vacation pay and (iv) bonuses and incentive compensation (other than the "Pro Rata Bonus" (as hereinafter defined)).
