Orthodontic Services definition

Orthodontic Services means appliances and treatments, interceptive and corrective, whose purpose is to correct abnormally aligned or positioned teeth. X-rays, extractions and other dental services provided as part of the treatment of abnormally aligned or positioned teeth are considered “Orthodontic Services.”
Orthodontic Services means the provision of orthodontic courses of treatment or the services referred to in clause 146; “orthodontic treatment” means treatment of, or treatment to prevent, malocclusion of the teeth and jaws, and irregularities of the teeth; “parent”, in relation to any child, means a parent or other person who has parental responsibility for that child;
Orthodontic Services means the provision of orthodontic courses of treatment or the services referred to in paragraph 5(2) of Schedule 1 (repairs);

Examples of Orthodontic Services in a sentence

  • Dental services for treatment of congenital or developmental malformation, or services performed for cosmetic purposes, including but not limited to bleaching teeth, lack of tooth enamel and grafts to improve aesthetics, except as described in the Pediatric Medically Necessary Orthodontic Services section of PEDIATRIC DENTAL CARE BENEFITS.

Orthodontic Services means orthodontic services or supplies as covered under the Contract. "OUT-OF-AREA SERVICES" are Dental Services provided by a non-ADP dentist located over a 50-mile radius from the Designated Dentist.

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.

  • DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES means therapies, typically provided by a qualified professional using a treatment plan, that are intended to lessen deficiencies in normal age appropriate function. The therapies generally are meant to limit deficiencies related to injury or disease that have been present since birth. This is true even if the deficiency was detected during a later developmental stage. The deficiency may be the result of injury or disease during the developmental period. Developmental services are applied for sustained periods of time to promote acceleration in developmentally related functional capacity. This plan covers developmental services unless specifically listed as not covered.

  • Dental Services means diagnostic, preventive, or corrective

  • Medical equipment means equipment used in a patient care environment to support patient treatment and diagnosis.
