Orientation Sessions. The CSEA Chapter president or designee shall have the right to release time to meet with each newly hired bargaining unit member for a twenty (20) minutes orientation during that member’s regular work hours as soon as practicable after the new employee’s first day of work. Within 30 days of hire of a new unit member, the District shall provide the following information to the CSEA Chapter Treasurer or designee: Name, Classification, Worksite and District Email Address. CSEA will maintain the privacy of the unit member’s information.
Orientation Sessions is defined in SS Section 7.4(1)(f), if used in the applicable Services Schedule;
Orientation Sessions means the two orientation sessions to be held in the ASTC in January 2003 and April 2003, respectively, covering the topics described in Exhibit I (including, IBM's work to date on 90 nm 200mm Bulk CMOS).

  • Orientation means any introductory instruction into a new practice environment or employment situation where being a nurse is a requirement of employment or where the individual uses any title or abbreviation indicating that the individual is a nurse. Orientation is considered the practice of nursing in this State.

  • Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

  • Summer Session means the time including all academic offerings during the pre-session, the regular four- week and eight-week sessions, and the post-session.

  • Crew means the Master, officers and ratings of the numbers, rank and nationality specified in Annex “B” attached hereto.

  • New employee orientation means the onboarding process of a newly hired classified employee, whether in person, online, or through other means or mediums, in which employees are advised of their employment status, rights, benefits, duties and responsibilities, or any other employment-related matters.

  • Firefighter means any regular, paid or volunteer, member of a lawfully constituted fire department of a municipal corporation, township, fire district, or village.

  • Workplace Harassment means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct against a worker in a workplace that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome”. Ref: Occupational Health and Safety Act, Sec. 1 (1). The employee rights set out above shall be interpreted within the context of the Ontario Human Rights Code. An employee who believes that she has been harassed, contrary to this provision shall be encouraged by both parties to follow the Employer’s policy on harassment and process. Failing resolution, an employee may follow the process set out in the Complaint, Grievance and Arbitration procedure in Article 8 of the Collective Agreement. The employee shall be encouraged by both parties to exhaust these processes prior to filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Race means a group of persons related by a common descent or heredity. For purposes of enumeration the U.S. Census Bureau uses terms such as: "White/Caucasian", "Black/African American/African-descent, "Asian", "Bi-racial", "Hispanics/Latinos" etc. to describe and classify the inhabitants of the United States.

  • Seaplane means an aeroplane capable normally of taking off from and alighting solely on water;
