Open Source Software definition

Open Source Software means software or similar subject matter that is distributed under an open source license such as (by way of example only) the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Apache License, Mozilla Public License, BSD License, MIT License, Common Public License, any derivative of any of the foregoing licenses, or any other license approved as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative or as a free software license by the Free Software Foundation.
Open Source Software means any Software that is subject to or licensed, provided or distributed under any license meeting the Open Source Definition (as promulgated by the Open Source Initiative as of the date of this Agreement) or the Free Software Definition (as promulgated by the Free Software Foundation as of the date of this Agreement) or any similar license for “free,” “publicly available” or “open source” Software, including the GNU General Public License, the Lesser GNU General Public License, the Apache License, the BSD License, Mozilla Public License (MPL), the MIT License.
Open Source Software means any software that is licensed or distributed under Open Source Terms as specified in the Licensed Materials.

More Definitions of Open Source Software

Open Source Software means any software that is licensed under open source license terms that require as a condition of use, modification or distribution of a work: (1) the making available of source code or other materials preferred for modification, or (2) the granting of permission for creating derivative works, or (3) the reproduction of certain notices or license terms in derivative works or accompanying documentation, or (4) the granting of a royalty- free license to any party under IPR regarding the work or any work that contains, is combined with, requires or otherwise is based on the work.
Open Source Software means any software licensed to the Supplier in accordance with the “Open Source Definition” at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/osd.html;
Open Source Software means software with either freely obtainable source code, license for modification, or permission for free distribution.
Open Source Software in compliance with all license terms applicable to such Open Source Software; and (ii) neither the Company nor any of its subsidiaries uses or distributes or has used or distributed any Open Source Software in any manner that requires or has required (A) the Company or any of its subsidiaries to permit reverse engineering of any software code or other technology owned by the Company or any of its subsidiaries or (B) any software code or other technology owned by the Company or any of its subsidiaries to be (1) disclosed or distributed in source code form, (2) licensed for the purpose of making derivative works or (3) redistributed at no charge.
Open Source Software means any Software that is licensed pursuant to: (a) any license that is a license now or in the future approved by the open source initiative and listed at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xxx/licenses, which licenses include all versions of the GNU General Public License (GPL), the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), the GNU Affero GPL, the MIT license, the Eclipse Public License, the Common Public License, the CDDL, the Mozilla Public License (MPL), the Artistic License, the Netscape Public License, the Sun Community Source License (SCSL), and the Sun Industry Standards License (SISL); or (b) any license to Software that is considered “free” or “open source software” by the open source foundation or the free software foundation.
Open Source Software means open source components embedded in the SOFTWARE and provided under the associated license terms, including, but not limited to, the BSD license , MIT License, and Apache License, which can be found in the LICENSE.txt file provided with the SOFTWARE.
Open Source Software means software with its source code made available pursuant to a license by which, at a minimum, the copyright holder provides anyone the rights to study, change, and/or distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose.
