Officer Trainee definition

Officer Trainee means a cadet or officer trainee who is a full-time employee enrolled in training schools or academies of the state and any political subdivision thereof and who will become an officer at the completion of the training.
Officer Trainee means a candidate who conforms to these Rules and deputed by the Sponsoring Authority.

  • Police Officer Trainee – This is a new position that has been created to bring on an individual as an employee while they are going through the Academy.

  • For sworn officers, item (4) shall not apply and item (3) shall be modified as follows: employees with the highest rank from an academy as a Police Officer Trainee or Firefighter Trainee.

  • The City and the Association agree that employees hired into the Non Sworn Police Officer Trainee classification shall be members of the “local miscellaneous” retirement plan rather than the “local safety” retirement plan.

  • This Section shall be interpreted to include time spent in training as a Correction Officer Trainee (Cadet) as retroactive seniority applicable as a Correction Officer after completion of the working test period.
