Off-the-job training definition

Off-the-job training means training which is not on-the-job training and is received by the apprentice, during the apprentice's normal working hours, for the purpose of achieving the approved apprenticeship standard to which the agreement or arrangement relates;
Off-the-job training means that part of the accredited course (as defined) which is undertaken away from the employer's workplace.
Off-the-job training means structured training delivered by a registered training organization separate from normal work duties or general supervised practice undertaken on the job.

  • On-the-job training means training that is provided by an employer during the routine performance of a job.

These interventions break down complex objectives for role performance into simpler components, including basic cognitive skills such as attention, to facilitate learning and competency.

  • Training means instruction or teaching designed to impart a specific skill, as opposed to general knowledge.

  • Expatriate Personnel means such persons who at the time of being so hired had their domicile outside India;

  • Customer Specific Training means a private Course organized on demand specifically for Customer.

  • Approved abuse education training program means a training program using a curriculum approved by the abuse education review panel of the department of public health or a training program offered by a hospital, a professional organization for physicians, or the department of human services, the department of education, an area education agency, a school district, the Iowa law enforcement academy, an Iowa college or university, or a similar state agency.

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO) means a licensed physician responsible for receiving and reviewing laboratory results generated by the school district’s drug testing program and for evaluating medical explanations for certain drug tests.

  • SAP Training Catalogue means the catalogue published by SAP containing details of SAP training courses and services.

  • Parties to a Traineeship Scheme means the employer organisation and/or the employer and the union involved in the consultation and negotiation required for the approval of a traineeship scheme.

  • Practice of athletic training means the prevention, recognition, evaluation, and treatment of injuries

  • Fabric refresher means a product labeled to neutralize or eliminate odors on nonlaundered fabric including, but not limited to, soft household surfaces, rugs, carpeting, draperies, bedding, automotive interiors, footwear, athletic equipment, clothing and/or on household furniture or objects upholstered or covered with fabrics such as, but not limited to, wool, cotton, or nylon. “Fabric Refresher” does not include “Anti-static Product,” “Carpet/Upholstery Cleaner,” “Footwear or Leather Care Product,” “Spot Remover,” or “Disinfectant,” or products labeled for application to both fabric and human skin.

  • Medical direction means direction, advice, or orders provided by a medical director, supervising physician, or physician designee (in accordance with written parameters and protocols) to emergency medical care personnel.

  • Training program means a standardized medication

  • Training and Workshops means the reasonable costs of training and workshop activities under the Project, based on the Annual Work Plans and Budgets accepted ex-ante by the Association, including preparation and reproduction of training materials, rental of facilities, reasonable transportation costs, per diem of trainers and trainees (if applicable), and any other expenses directly related to course preparation and implementation.
