Obligation Authority definition

Obligation Authority means the annual limitation on the amount of eligible costs under Title 23 of the United States Code that the State may obligate with respect to the Federal Highway Construction Program during a given Federal Fiscal Year, as specified in annual Federal appropriations acts.
Obligation Authority means a limitation placed on Federal-aid highway program obligations to act as a ceiling on the obligation of contract authority that can be made within a specified time period, usually a fiscal year, regardless of the year in which the funds are authorized.
Obligation Authority means the amount of funds apportioned or allocated by FHWA pursuant to Federal Aid Authorization to the Department for each Federal Fiscal year.
