NSS definition

NSS means the new safekeeping structure which applies to Registered Notes held in global form by a Common Safekeeper for Euroclear and Clearstream, Luxembourg and which is required for such Registered Notes to be recognised as eligible collateral for Eurosystem monetary policy and intra-day credit operations;
NSS means the new safekeeping structure for registered global securities which are intended to constitute eligible collateral for Eurosystem monetary policy and intra-day credit operations;

Examples of NSS in a sentence

  • This Permanent Global Certificate shall not become valid for any purpose until authenticated by or on behalf of the Registrar, and in the case of Registered Notes held under the NSS only, effectuated by the entity appointed as Common Safekeeper by the relevant Clearing Systems.

  • The Issuer acknowledges that any such election is subject to the right of Euroclear and Clearstream, Luxembourg to determine, jointly, that the other shall act as Common Safekeeper in relation to any Notes intended to be held under the NSS and agrees that no liability shall attach to the Registrar in respect of any such election made by it.

  • In relation to each Series of Registered Notes that is held under the NSS, the Registrar agrees to perform the additional duties set out in Schedule 8 to this Agreement.
