Notice of Layoff t Unit members shall be given not less than the statutorily required number of days for notice of layoff. The written notice shall indicate the effective date, displacement rights, if any, and reemployment rights. The District and MCCD POA shall meet upon request by MCCD POA after any notice of layoff has been sent, to discuss the rights of affected unit members.

More Definitions of Notice of Layoff

Notice of Layoff means a notice declaring that the member’s position is surplus to requirements or other like notice made under a collective agreement governing the terms and conditions of a member’s employment but does not apply in circumstances involving the sale of a business within the meaning of the Labour Relations Act, as modified by the Crown Employees Collective Bargaining Act, 1993 when a member receives a job offer with a successor employer. In the case of members governed by the Central Collective Agreement, “notice of layoff” means a notice of layoff under Article 20 of the Central Collective Agreement made March 27, 1999, or its successor provisions. For the purposes of sections 7.1A and 17.2A of the Plan, a member governed by the Central Collective Agreement is deemed to have received a notice of layoff where: (a) he or she has been declared surplus in accordance with sections 5.2 or 6C.2 of Appendix 18 to the Central Collective Agreement made March 27, 1999 or its successor provisions; or
Notice of Layoff. The Employer shall notify CSEA, in writing, of the proposed layoff not less than fifteen (15) calendar days prior to notice being sent to bargaining unit employees. The Employer and CSEA will utilize this period to review seniority lists and work through bumping progressions in accordance with this article with the intention to give formal layoff notice to only those employees at the bottom of the bumping chain within a classification. Notice shall be given to any bargaining unit employee(s) subject to layoff no later than March 15 for layoffs effective the next academic year. The fifteen-day advanced notice to CSEA shall sunset on June 30, 2026 unless permanently established in future bargaining and shall not be subject to grievance during this time.

The Potential Repudiation/Moratorium that is the subject of the Repudiation/Moratorium Extension Notice need not be continuing on the date the Repudiation/Moratorium Extension Notice is effective.

  • Notice of Borrowing has the meaning specified in Section 2.02(a).

  • Notice of Conversion/Extension means the written notice of conversion of a LIBOR Rate Loan to an Alternate Base Rate Loan or an Alternate Base Rate Loan to a LIBOR Rate Loan, or extension of a LIBOR Rate Loan, in each case substantially in the form of Exhibit 1.1(f).
