Notice of intent to appeal means the taxpayerВ’s written statement filed with the local assessing officer that informs the local assessing officer of the taxpayerВ’s intent to file an Application for Review. It also means the taxpayerВ’s written statement filed with the local assessing officer and the Tax Commissioner informing of the taxpayerВ’s intent to file an appeal to the Tax Commissioner (See 23 VAC 10-500-660, et seq.).
