Nomination Day definition

Nomination Day means the last day for filing or withdrawing a nomination as provided for by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
Nomination Day means the day on which the provisional nominations process for the following Week takes place, being the last Business Day of each Week.
Nomination Day means the day determined in terms of the Electoral Act for the announcement of the nominated candidates and parties for an election.

  • Members who are candidates for election are entitled to paid leave for the duration of the writ, or in the cases of regional, municipal, or school board elections, from Nomination Day until the end of the election.
