New Release definition

New Release means a partial or complete replacement of the executable code of the Software in machine-readable form, which may provide new features or functions. A New Release may incorporate some or no enhancements. A New Release involves only such alterations that change the release number to the immediate right of the decimal point. Changes to the release number are made solely at the discretion of the Licensor.
New Release means a modified or enhanced version of a Licensed Product that is designated by PTC as a new release of that product and that PTC makes generally available to its Maintenance Services customers.
New Release means new releases, updates or versions of the Software made generally available by SAP through unrestricted shipment pursuant to SAP Support after the Effective Date of the Agreement.

More Definitions of New Release

New Release means a new version of a Product prepared to incorporate one or more of the following: (i) improvement of speed, performance, capacity, ease of use or other aspects of a Product; (ii) correction of Nonconformities in the Software; (iii) the addition and/or deletion of features and/or functionality; or (iv) revision of a Product as necessary or desirable for the Product to operate with any upgraded versions of, or replacements for, any operating system.
New Release means (i) a ‘major release’ that includes architectural changes and may be identified by a change of the release numeral to the left of the decimal point in the naming convention of the Software; (ii) a ‘minor release’ that includes improvements and bug corrections and may be identified by the release numeral to the right of the decimal point in the naming convention of the Software; and (iii) a ‘maintenance release’ indicating a bug correction or patch and may be identified by a change of the release numeral two digits to the right of the decimal point in the naming convention of the Software or otherwise designated as such by the Licensor;
New Release means a system release, a version release, and interim release of the Licensed Software, regardless of whether the Contractor refers to it as a “new release”.
