Municipal Aggregation definition

Municipal Aggregation means a program by which the electrical load of interested electricity consumers who are not otherwise served by an existing nonprofit electric supplier or municipal electric utility is aggregated by a municipality or group of municipalities for the purpose of soliciting bids, brokering, and contracting for electric power and energy services for such customers and approved by the R.I.P.U.C. pursuant to R.I. Gen. Laws § 39-3-1.2.

More Definitions of Municipal Aggregation

Municipal Aggregation means the pooling of residential and small commercial retail electrical loads located within the Aggregator’s jurisdiction for the purpose of soliciting bids and entering into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of electricity and related services, all in accordance with Section 1-92 of the Act.
