Message Content definition

Message Content means that information contained within a Message or accompanying a Message. This information includes, but is not limited to, Protected Health Information (PHI), de- identified data (as defined in the HIPAA Regulations at 45 C.F.R. § 164.514), individually identifiable information, pseudonymized data, metadata, Digital Credentials, and schema associated actually or logically with PHI. Message Content does not include HIE Data submitted by Participant to NC HIEA as required by N.C.G.S. 90-414.4(b).
Message Content means the data contained in a Message.

  • Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to impose responsibility or liability on a Participant related to the clinical accuracy, content or completeness of any Message Content provided pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Participants shall use appropriate safeguards to prevent use or disclosure of Message Content other than as permitted by this Agreement, including appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of that Message Content.

  • Each Participant hereby represents and warrants that it shall use the Message Content only in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Message Content is excluded from the definition of Confidential Participant Information because other provisions of the DURSA address the appropriate protections for Message Content.

  • The Participants acknowledge that other Participants’ Digital Credentials may be activated, suspended or revoked at any time or the Participant may suspend its participation; therefore, Participants may not rely upon the availability of a particular Participant’s Message Content.


More Definitions of Message Content

Message Content means that information which is requested or sent by a Trusted Data Sharing Organization through the NJHIN. This includes, but is not limited to, Protected Health Information, Personally Identifiable Information, de-identified data (as defined in the HIPAA Regulations), pseudonymized data, metadata, Digital Credentials, and schema.
Message Content means information which is sent, received, found, or used by a TDSO through the Services, including PHI, de-identified data, anonymized data, metadata, and data schema.
