Merchant Network Upgrades definition

Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, physical facilities of the Interconnected Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan. Examples of Merchant Network Upgrades in a sentence

  • At the time of termination, the Transmission Provider and the Interconnected Entities shall keep in place any portion of the Interconnection Facilities and/or of any Merchant Network Upgrades that the Transmission Provider deems necessary for the safety, integrity and/or reliability of the Transmission System.

  • Interconnection Customer may request a determination from the Transmission Provider whether any Interconnection Facilities or any Merchant Network Upgrades will be removed in the event of any termination of Interconnection Service to the Customer Facility within the following year.

  • Each Interconnected Entity shall notify the other Interconnected Entity in advance of its performance of tests of its portion of the Interconnection Facilities or of any Merchant Network Upgrades.

  • These Costs may include, but are not limited to, an Attachment Facilities charge, a Local Upgrades charge, a Network Upgrades charge and other charges, as well as Costs of any Merchant Network Upgrades constructed on behalf of Interconnection Customer.

  • That agreement entered into by a New Service Customer (other than an Interconnection Customer whose project includes generation capability or Merchant Transmission Facilities other than Merchant Network Upgrades), a Transmission Owner, and the Transmission Provider, pursuant to Subpart B of Part VI of the Tariff, and in the form set forth in Attachment GG of the Tariff.

  • Merchant Network Upgrades – Network Upgrades constructed and owned by an Interconnection Customer or a third party pursuant to Article 5.1.5 of this LGIA, Section 14.3 of the GIDAP, and Sections 24.4.6.1 and 36.11 of the CAISO Tariff.

  • The Participating TO shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the Network Upgrades described in Attachment 6 of this Agreement, except for Merchant Network Upgrades.

  • Distribution Provider or Distribution Owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the Network Upgrades and Distribution Upgrades described in Appendix A, Interconnection Facilities, Network Upgrades and Distribution Upgrades, except for any Stand Alone Network Upgrades and Merchant Network Upgrades (as such term is defined in the ISO Tariff).


More Definitions of Merchant Network Upgrades

Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, or advancement of additions to, or modifications or replacement of, physical facilities of the Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Upgrade Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan, but that are not already subject to an already existing, fully executed interconnection related agreement, such as a Generation Interconnection Agreement, stand-alone Construction Service Agreement, Network Upgrade Cost Responsibility Agreement or Upgrade Construction Service Agreement.

Related to Merchant Network Upgrades

  • Network Upgrades means modifications or additions to transmission-related facilities that are integrated with and support the Transmission Provider’s overall Transmission System for the general benefit of all users of such Transmission System. Network Upgrades shall include:

  • Network User means each natural or legal person having concluded a Standard Transmission Agreement with the TSO for Transmission Services in the Transmission Grid.

  • Network Load means the load that a Network Customer designates for Network Integration Transmission Service under Tariff, Part III. The Network Customer’s Network Load shall include all load (including losses) served by the output of any Network Resources designated by the Network Customer. A Network Customer may elect to designate less than its total load as Network Load but may not designate only part of the load at a discrete Point of Delivery. Where an Eligible Customer has elected not to designate a particular load at discrete points of delivery as Network Load, the Eligible Customer is responsible for making separate arrangements under Tariff, Part II for any Point-To-Point Transmission Service that may be necessary for such non-designated load.

  • Network Resource shall have the meaning as provided in the NYISO OATT, for such resources located in New York, and the meaning as provided in the PJM OATT, for such resources located in PJM.

  • Network plan means a policy of group health insurance offered by an insurer under which the financing and delivery of medical care, including items and services paid for as medical care, are provided, in whole or in part, through a defined set of providers under contract with the insurer. The term does not include an arrangement for the financing of premiums.

  • Customer Systems means the Customer's information technology infrastructure, including computers, software, hardware, databases, electronic systems (including database management systems), and networks, whether operated by Customer or through the use of third-party services.

  • Network Customer means an entity receiving transmission service pursuant to the terms of the Transmission Provider’s Network Integration Transmission Service under Tariff, Part III.
