Medical Advise means any consultation or advice from a Medical Practitioner including the issue of any prescription or repeat prescription.

Medical Advisory Committee means the Medical Advisory Committee established by the Board as required by the Public Hospitals Act;

Medical Board means the North Carolina Medical Board.

Independent Financial Advisor means an accounting, appraisal, investment banking firm or consultant to Persons engaged in Similar Businesses of nationally recognized standing that is, in the good faith judgment of the Issuer, qualified to perform the task for which it has been engaged.
Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.
ProviderOne or “P1” means the system commonly referred to as the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), and is the federally approved system used by the Washington Medicaid program to pay provider claims for goods and services authorized under the State Plan. The MMIS is certified by CMS and is the primary information system used by HCA to pay for health care.

Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;

Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.
Financial Advisor has the meaning set forth in Section 3.6.
Designated mental health professional means a mental health
Medical clearance means a physician or other health care
Independent professional advice means advice of an attorney, certified public accountant, actuary, or other licensed professional adviser.
Sub-Advisor shall include the Sub-Advisor and/or any of its affiliates and the directors, officers and employees of the Sub-Advisor and/or any of its affiliates.
Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
Medical Staff means all physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, and podiatrists who have been appointed to the Medical Staff by the Board.
