Material Feature definition

Material Feature means any feature of a Plan that could reasonably be expected to be of material importance to the sponsoring employer or the participants and beneficiaries of the Plan, which could include, depending on the type and purpose of the particular Plan, the class or classes of employees eligible to participate in such Plan, the nature, type, form, source, and level of benefits provided by the employer under such Plan and the amount or level of contributions, if any, required to be made by participants (or their dependents or beneficiaries) to or under such Plan.
Material Feature means any feature of a Plan that could reasonably be expected to be of material importance to the sponsoring employer or the participants and beneficiaries of the Plan, which could include, without limitation, depending on the type and purpose of the particular Plan, the class or classes of employees eligible to participate in such Plan, the nature, type, form, source, and level of benefits provided by the employer under such Plan and the amount or level of contributions, if any, required to be made by participants (or their dependents or beneficiaries) to such Plan or that is a benefit, right or feature within the meaning of Code section 411(d)(6).
Material Feature means any feature of a Plan that could reasonably be expected to be of material importance, in the aggregate, to the sponsoring employer or the participants (or their dependents or beneficiaries) of that Plan, which could include, depending on the type and purpose of the particular Plan, the class or classes of employees eligible to participate in such Plan, the nature, type, form, source, and level of benefits provided under such Plan, the amount or level of contributions, if any, required to be made by participants (or their dependents or beneficiaries) to such Plan, and the costs and expenses incurred by the sponsoring employer for implementing and/or maintaining such Plan.

Examples of Material Feature in a sentence

  • Millipore shall not amend any Material Feature of any Millipore Plan in which Mykrolis is a Participating Company, except to the extent: (i) such amendment would not materially affect any coverage or benefits solely with respect to Mykrolis Employees under such Plan; or (ii) such amendment is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law.

  • Notwithstanding the foregoing, neither Party shall, without first consulting with the other Party, amend any Material Feature of a Plan in which the other Party is a Participating Company, except to the extent such amendment would not affect any benefits of the other Party’s employees under such Plan or as may be necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law or a Labor Agreement.
