Major Incident definition

Major Incident means an occurrence involving a consumer during service provision that:
Major Incident means an occurrence of catastrophic proportions, resulting from the use of plant or machinery, or from activities at a workplace;
Major Incident means an incident associated with the distribution of electricity, which results in a significant interruption of service or substantial damage to equipment, or loss of life or significant injury to human beings, or as otherwise directed by the Commission and shall also include any other incident which the Commission expressly declares to be a major incident;

  • Where the Executive and the Provider do not agree that the actions taken by the Provider to deal with the Major Incident ought to be continued, then the parties shall discuss the appropriate actions to be taken in the circumstances in the best interests of the relevant Service Users and the Provider shall implement the actions recommended by, and/or agreed with, the Executive.

  • The measurement of unplanned downtime starts from the time that either: (i) Verisk is notified by Client of non-Availability of the Application in the Production environment and Verisk agrees that such non-Availability is downtime which is not Permitted Downtime, or (ii) Verisk’s event monitoring detects a Managed Services Major Incident, whichever is the earlier, and ends when Availability has been restored or when Client successfully resumes use of the Managed Services, whichever is the earlier.

  • Where the Executive agrees to alter or adjust the amount of Funding as a consequence of the Major Incident, any such alteration or adjustment shall be set out in a Contract Change Note in accordance with Clause 37.10 (Change Control).

  • During the period of a Major Incident the Provider shall be paid for performance of the Services and under-performance as a result of the Major Incident shall not be penalised.

  • Where a dispute relating to matters which constitute a Major Incident arises it shall be resolved through the dispute resolution procedures outlined in this Arrangement.

Major Incident means an incident associated with the Licensed Business which results in a significant interruption of service, substantial damage to equipment, or loss of life or significant injury to human beings, with the technical characteristics of “significant interruption”, “substantial damage”, “significant injury” specified in the Grid Code, Supply Code or Standards of Performance specified by the Commission, and any other incident which the Commission expressly declares to be a major incident;
Major Incident means an accident, earthquake, fire, flood, storm or similar event.
