Lodging House definition

Lodging House means a building designed or intended to contain, or containing Lodging Units where the residents share access to common areas of the building, other than the Lodging Units;
Lodging House means a building that is used or designed to provide four or more lodging units, which may share common areas of the building other than the lodging unit and do not appear to function as a single housekeeping unit and does not include a residential facility.
Lodging House means a building or part of a house including the veranda thereof, if any, which is let or sublet in lodgings or otherwise, either by storeys, by flats, by rooms or by portions of rooms;

Lodging House means a building or part of a building, containing no fewer than three Lodging Units, which does not appear to function as a Dwelling Unit, although one may be included with the Lodging Units. It includes, without limitation, a rooming house and a boarding house, a fraternity house, a sorority house, a student residence and an apartment hotel. It does not include a Hotel, a Crisis Care Residence, a Group Home, a Correctional Group Home, a Bed and Breakfast Establishment, a Nursing Home or a Retirement Residence.
Lodging House means any building or structure, permanent or otherwise, and any part thereof, in which provision is made for lodging or boarding more than 6 persons, exclusive of the family of the keeper thereof, for hire or reward; but the term does not include —
Lodging House means and include any house or other building or portion thereof in which more than three persons are harboured, received or lodged for hire, with or without meals but does not include a hotel, hospital, nursing home, home for the young or the aged or institution if the hotel, hospital or institution is licensed, approved or supervised under any general or special Act.
