Two (2) copies of all postings shall be sent to the Local of the Union within the aforementioned seven (7) calendar days.
The Employer agrees to give one (1) month notice to the affected Employee and the Local of the Union when an Employee on sick leave without pay or Long Term Disability is to be reassessed by the Employer or Long Term Disability.
There shall be established a Vancouver Island Committee composed of four (4) representatives from the Vancouver Island Local of the Union and one (1) representative from the Union (ILWU - Canada), on the one hand, and a similar number of representatives from the Association, on the other.

Employees shall, as a condition of employment, authorize the Employer to deduct from their wages initiation fees, monthly dues, and assessments as determined by the appropriate Local of the Union.
If an employee is elected or appointed to a position in the Union, or Local of the Union, such an employee, upon the employee's request, shall be given a leave of absence without pay and shall be reinstated in the same or comparable position on the expiration of such leave.
In compliance with The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Employer(s) will ensure a policy is developed, in consultation with the Local of the Union and other Unions in the Regional Health Authority to address the prevention of violence, the management of violent situations and to work towards the elimination of the causal factors of violence and provide support to Employees who have faced violence.
Should an Employee fail to perform relief work in accordance with their availability on the prescribed form – Application for Relief Work, the Employer, the Employee and the Local of the Union shall meet to discuss a resolution to the situation which may include removal from the relief list.
Extended shift arrangements (10 or 12 hours) may only be implemented upon mutual agreement between the Employer, the affected Employees and the Local of the Union.
