Local Counter Fraud Specialist definition

Local Counter Fraud Specialist or “LCFS” means a local counter-fraud specialist appointed by the Provider in accordance with Schedule 12 (NHS Counter-fraud and Security Management);
Local Counter Fraud Specialist means the officer who has daily operational responsibility for implementing the requirements of the relevant service conditions of the NHS Standard Contract in relation to counter fraud arrangements
Local Counter Fraud Specialist means the person appointed by the Trust pursuant to SFI 4.4.3 to carry out the responsibilities and functions set out in the Secretary of State for Health's Directions to NHS Bodies on Counter Fraud Measures 2004, as amended from time-to-time;

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.
