Lifetime Benefit Limit definition

Lifetime Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder cumulatively since the inception of these Terms and Benefits, irrespective whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached or whether the Annual Benefit Limit in a Policy Year has been reached.

For the purpose of these Terms and Benefits, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, circumstances where a Confinement is considered Medically Necessary include, but notlimited to - (i) the Insured Person is having an Emergency that requires urgent treatment in Hospital; (ii) surgical procedures are performed under general anaesthesia; (iii) equipment for surgical procedure is available in Hospital and procedure cannot be done on a Day Patient basis; (iv) there is significantly severe co-morbidity of the Insured Person; (v) taking into account the individual circumstances of theInsured Person, the attending Registered Medical Practitioner has exercised his prudent professional

  • Annual Benefit Limit means the maximum amount of benefits paid by the Company to the Policy Holder in a Policy Year irrespective of whether any limits of any benefit items stated in the Benefit Schedule have been reached. The Annual Benefit Limit is counted afresh in a new Policy Year.
