Legislative committee definition

Legislative committee means a joint standing committee or a joint select committee of the Legislature, a task force, commission or council or any other committee established by the Legislature and composed wholly or partly of Legislators for the purpose of conducting legislative business.[PL 1987, c. 141, Pt. A, §6 (NEW).]
Legislative committee means the committee that makes the final selection of recipients of special nonresident deer and turkey licenses and consists of the majority leader of the Iowa senate, the speaker of the Iowa house of representatives, and the director of the Iowa department of economic development, or their designees, as described in Iowa Code section 483A.24.
Legislative committee means any legislative committee or commission appointed to conduct or perform legislative business during a regular or special session or the interim between sessions.
