Leave for Union Office. Upon request of the Union's President, the Employer will grant leaves of absence without pay to bargaining unit employees who serve as Union representatives or officers for up to one- hundred twenty (120) days, if it is consistent with operational needs. This leave will be for no more than one time per year per employee and no more than fifteen (15) employees per year who must be from different Departments. Such employees will not be separated from the payroll and will be restored to their previous positions at the conclusion of such leaves.

Leave for Union Office. An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union, the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour or the Canadian Labour Congress shall be granted leave of absence without loss of seniority for a period of one year. Such leave shall be renewed each year, upon request, during the term of office. The employee shall continue to receive her salary and benefits from the Employer, conditional upon reimbursement of such salary and costs by the Union to the Employer.

Such leave may be extended for an additional period of one year, at the discretion of the BOARD.
Leave for Union Office. 12.11 An employee elected as a paid officer of the executive of the Union, the Alliance or the Northern Territories Federation of Labour shall, upon application, be granted leave of absence for the term of office. Upon approval, all accumulated vacation benefits and compensatory time must first be exhausted by the requesting employee. Requests for such leave must be submitted in writing to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources.
