Lead Researcher definition

Lead Researcher means the researcher identified as the “Lead Researcher” in the Research Proposal or such other person that may be subsequently identified as a replacement Lead Researcher by the Institution in accordance with Section 2.4 of this Agreement.

Researcher: any individual researcher working on the Project. Term: the period from the Commencement Date until the Agreement is terminated in accordance with clause 10.
Lead Researcher means the person who (a) requests the desired IMPACT Resource, (b) is the principal investigator or researcher leading the project using the Resource, and (c) is responsible for ensuring that all responsibilities for the receipt, security, oversight, and handling of the Resource are met. Metadata is descriptive information about the Resource that is provided by the RP and recorded in the IMPACT Resource Metadata catalog. Research means basic and applied research, and development supporting knowledge or operational and strategic advancement.

More Definitions of Lead Researcher

Lead Researcher means the lead investigator on the Project as detailed on Page 1 of this Agreement and as per Ethics Approval. The lead investigator has responsibility for the Project and has the authority to sign-off on instructions for SURE access, change of services or data refreshes in relation to their Project; Lead Research Organisation means the organisation with which the lead investigator on the Project is employed or affiliated, and is specified on the first page of this Agreement. The Lead Research Organisation has responsibility for the compliance of the lead investigator and all other researchers employed by, or affiliated with it, who are named on the Project with all conditions of this Agreement, including those specified in any schedule attached to this Agreement; Linked Data means information that relates to the same individual, family, place or event from different data sources and which have been anonymised; Participant means a person who is participating in the 45 and Up Study; Participating Institution refers to a research organisation that is included on Page 1 of this Agreement and has Researchers collaborating on the Project. The Participating Institution has responsibility for the compliance of all researchers employed by, or affiliated with it, who are named on the Project with all conditions of this Agreement, including those specified in any schedule attached to this Agreement; Parties means a party (or the parties) to this Agreement; Personal Information has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); Policies means the Institute’s policies and procedures which will be made available to the Research Organisation/s and Researchers, and with which, the Research Organisation/s is/are required to familiarise itself with.   • Research Results means any technical result acquired based on the Collaborative Research, including, but not limited to, any invention, idea, design, copyrightable work and know-how which relates to the purpose of the Collaborative Research.

  • Research Project means a discrete scientific endeavor to answer a research question or a set of research questions related to medical marijuana and is required for a medical marijuana research license.

  • Research Use shall have the meaning given in Section 2.2.2 of this Agreement.

  • Principal Investigator or “PI” is the person, designated by University, and accepted by Sponsor, who is directly responsible for executing, directing, overseeing and reporting a Sponsored Project under this Agreement.

  • Development Data means any and all research data, pharmacology data, chemistry, manufacturing and control data, preclinical data, clinical data and all other documentation (including raw data) compiled, developed or generated with respect to the Compound or Product.

  • Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.

  • Research Program Term has the meaning set forth in Section 2.2.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • Scientists means employees who are university graduates in the Natural Sciences, the Applied Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Sciences, who are not classified as professional engineers, and who are engaged in the application of this specialized knowledge in the course of their employment. This definition includes all incumbents in positions identified under the heading of “Scientists” listed in Attachment A to Appendix I entitled “Utilization and Advancement of Professional Engineers and Scientists” in this Agreement. “Scientists” includes employees who satisfy these criteria and who are required to perform supervisory functions.
