Last Date of Hire definition

Last Date of Hire of an Employee means the latest date on which the Employee was hired by the Company or, if applicable, was re-hired by the Company following a separation of service.
Last Date of Hire means the date upon which an employee first reported to work at the instruction of the Board, and was subject to the terms of this agreement as a probationary or bargaining unit employee, since which the employee has not quit, been discharged, or otherwise had such employment terminated as stated in section 4 below.
Last Date of Hire means the date on which the employee actually begins work, regardless of when such employee was advised that the employee was being hired, or had been hired.

More Definitions of Last Date of Hire

Last Date of Hire means the date upon which an employee first reported as a full-time permanent employee in the bargaining unit since which he has not quit, retired or been discharged. No time shall be deducted from an employee’s bargaining unit seniority due to absences occasioned by authorized leaves of absence, vacations, sick or accident leave or for layoffs due to lack of work or funds that occurred while the employee was a bargaining unit member.
Last Date of Hire means the date upon which an employee first reported for work at the direction of the Employer as a permanent, full time employee since which such employee has not quit, retired or been discharged. Unit seniority for the purpose of shift bidding and preference for PTO requests shall be calculated from the date an employee last entered the bargaining unit as a permanent full time employee. The application of seniority shall be limited to the preferences specifically recited in this Agreement. Employees hired on the same calendar date shall be placed on the seniority list in alphabetical order of surnames. An employee who leaves the bargaining unit, but does not discontinue employment with the County of Allegan, shall have bargaining unit seniority frozen for a period of twenty four months. If the employee returns to the bargaining unit within the twenty four months, they shall pick up unit seniority from the point at which the time was frozen.
Last Date of Hire means the earlier of the date the teacher signs a letter of intent to work for the School Corporation or the first day the teacher actually teaches for the School Corporation as a regular teacher. A teacher shall hold seniority in each of the teacher’s certifications/endorsements. When any decision required under this Agreement must be determined on the basis of seniority and two (2) or more teachers affected by the decision have the same seniority, the identification of the most senior teacher shall be made by lot unless otherwise specifically provided in this Agreement.

Related to Last Date of Hire

  • Date of Hire means the date on which a person shall perform his first Hour of Service. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event a person incurs one or more consecutive Breaks after his initial Date of Hire which results in the forfeiture of his pre-Break Service pursuant to Section 3.3, his "Date of Hire" shall thereafter be the date on which he completes his first Hour of Service after such Break or Breaks.

  • Benefit Commencement Date means, for any Participant or beneficiary, the date as of which the first benefit payment, including a single sum, from the Participant’s Account is due, other than pursuant to a withdrawal under Article VIII.

Failure by Tenant to obtain validation by any medical review board or other similar governmental licensing of the Premises required for the Permitted Use by Tenant shall not serve to extend the Term Commencement Date.

  • Date of Service means the date on which the client receives medical services or items, unless otherwise specified in the appropriate provider rules.
