Interpretative letter definition

Interpretative letter means written advice or guidance issued by the staff of a Division of the Commission or the Office of the General Counsel. An inter- pretative letter binds only the issuing Division or the Office of the General Counsel, as applicable, and does not bind the Commission or other Commis- sion staff. An interpretative letter may be relied upon by persons in addition to the Beneficiary.
