Reduced leave schedule means a leave schedule that reduces the usual number of hours per workweek, or hours per workday, of an employee.
Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.
Intermittent stream means a well-defined channel that contains water for only part of the year, typically during winter and spring when the aquatic bed is below the water table. The flow may be heavily supplemented by stormwater runoff. An intermittent stream often lacks the biological and hydrological characteristics commonly associated with the continuous conveyance of water.
Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.
Pregnancy disability means a pregnancy-related medical condition or miscarriage.
Intermittent means care that is to be rendered because of a medically predictable recurring need for skilled home health care. “Skilled home health care” means reasonable and necessary care for the treatment of an illness or injury which requires the skill of a nurse or therapist, based on the complexity of the service and the condition of the patient and which is performed directly by an appropriately licensed professional provider. Home health care requires Preauthorization.
Permanent Total Disablement means a bodily injury caused by accidental, external, violent and visible means, which as a direct consequence thereof totally disables and prevents the insured from attending to any business or occupation of any and every kind or if he/she has no business or occupation, from attending to his/her usual and normal duties that last for a continuous period of twelve calendar months from the date of the accident, with no hopes of improvement in future
Intermittent Resource means a Generation Capacity Resource with output that can vary as a function of its energy source, such as wind, solar, run of river hydroelectric power and other renewable resources. Internal Market Buyer:
maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

Authorized leave of absence means an unpaid, temporary cessation from active employment with the Employer pursuant to an established nondiscriminatory policy, whether occasioned by illness, military service, or any other reason.
Permanent Disablement means a disability falling under one of the items of disablement listed in the scale of compensation in this Policy under Section 1, which was caused by an Accident, as long as the disability lasts for twelve (12) consecutive months from the date of the Accident and at the expiry of that period our appointed Registered Medical Practitioner confirms that the disability is not going to improve after twelve (12) months.
maternity or paternity leave of absence means, for Plan Years beginning after December 31, 1984, an absence from work for any period by reason of the Employee's pregnancy, birth of the Employee's child, placement of a child with the Employee in connection with the adoption of such child, or any absence for the purpose of caring for such child for a period immediately following such birth or placement. For this purpose, Hours of Service shall be credited for the computation period in which the absence from work begins, only if credit therefore is necessary to prevent the Employee from incurring a 1-Year Break in Service, or, in any other case, in the immediately following computation period. The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.

Permanent and Total Disability means any medically determinable physical or mental impairment rendering an individual unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity, which disability can be expected to result in death or which has lasted or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months.
Paid leave means time away from work by an employee for which the employee receives compensation, and is limited to sick time, vacation time, compensatory time and leave that is provided as an aggregate amount for use at the discretion of the employee for any of these same purposes. Excusable Delays means delays due to acts of terrorism, acts of war or civil insurrection, strikes, riots, floods, earthquakes, fires, tornadoes, casualties, acts of God, labor disputes, governmental restrictions or priorities, embargoes, national or regional material shortages, failure to obtain regulatory approval from any Federal or State regulatory body, unforeseen site conditions, extraordinary rainfall or snowfall, or any other condition or circumstances beyond the reasonable or foreseeable control of the applicable Party using reasonable diligence to overcome which prevents such Party from performing its specific duties or obligation hereunder in a timely manner; provided, however, Excusable Delay does not include lack of financing, unanticipated or unexpected increases in the costs of construction, or errors in business judgment by a Party; and provided further that Excusable Delay shall only extend the time of performance for the period of such Excusable Delay, which shall begin on the date which the event of Excusable Delay first occurs and extend until the date which the event which has caused the Excusable Delay has been corrected or performed, or reasonably should have been corrected or performed.
Normal Pregnancy or “Childbirth” means a pregnancy or childbirth that is free of complications or problems.

Accident or Accidental means a sudden, unforeseen and involuntary event caused by external, visible and violent means.
