Interconnection definition

Interconnection is as defined in the Act.
Interconnection has the meaning given the term in the Act and refers to the connection of separate pieces of equipment, facilities, or platforms between or within networks for the purpose of transmission and routing of Telephone Exchange Service traffic and Exchange Access traffic.
Interconnection means a connection between two or more individual Transmission Systems that normally operate in synchronism and have interconnecting intertie(s).

"Interconnection Agreement" or "Agreement" is an agreement entered into between Qwest and CLEC for Interconnection, Unbundled Network Elements or other services as a result of negotiations, adoption and/or arbitration or a combination thereof pursuant to Section 252 of the Act. When CLEC signs and delivers a copy of this Agreement to Qwest pursuant to the notice provision of the Agreement, it becomes the Interconnection Agreement between the Parties pursuant to Section 252(e) of the Act.
