Institutional Holder definition

Institutional Holder. An insurance company whose long-term debt is rated at least A- (or equivalent rating) by a Rating Agency, or an equivalent rating from any other nationally recognized statistical rating organization.
Institutional Holder means any insurance company, bank, savings and loan association, trust company, investment company, charitable foundation, employee benefit plan (as defined in ERISA) or other institutional investor or financial institution which is not principally engaged, or as one of its important activities, in the business of making small business investments of the type made by the Company.
