Individual employment definition

Individual employment means employment in the general workforce where the member interacts with the general public to the same degree as nondisabled persons in the same job, and for which the member is paid at or above minimum wage, but not less than the customary wage and level of benefits paid by the employer for the same or similar work performed by persons without disabilities.

"Small employer" does not include the federal government; any state government, including any state agency or instrumentality; any political subdivision; or any entity treated as a government for financial accounting and reporting purposes.

  • Covered Employer means the City of Cambridge or a Beneficiary of Assistance.

  • Seasonal employee means an employee whose services are of a seasonal and recurring nature and includes employees who are subject to periodic reassignment to various positions because of the nature of their work.
