Expert witness or “expert” means a person who is retained to render an opinion regarding an issue relevant to a case, whether or not the person actually testifies in court.
Chief law enforcement officer means the chief of police of cities and towns and sheriffs of counties, unless a political subdivision has otherwise designated its chief law-enforcement officer by appropriate resolution or ordinance, in which case the local designation shall be controlling.
Consult collegially means that the district governing board shall develop policies on academic and professional matters through either or both of the following methods, according to its own discretion:
College means further education colleges and sixth-form colleges as established under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 and institutions designated as being within the further education sector.2 It relates to their responsibilities towards children who are receiving education or training at the college. It excludes 16-19 academies and free schools (which are required to comply with relevant safeguarding legislation by virtue of their funding agreement).
Law enforcement official has the same meaning as the term "law enforcement official" at 45 C.F.R. § 164.103.
Law enforcement officer means any officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic or to make
Amendment No. 2 means Amendment No. 2 to this Agreement, dated as of the Amendment No. 2 Effective Date, among the Borrower, the Administrative Agent and the other parties party thereto.
Amendment No. 3 means Amendment No. 3 to this Agreement, dated as of March 16, 2017, among the Loan Parties, the Lenders party thereto and the Administrative Agent.
Basic health care services means in and out-of-area emergency services, inpatient hospital and
Other Agreement means any agreement, contract, or understanding heretofore or hereafter entered into by a Grantee with the Company or an Affiliate, except an agreement, contract, or understanding that expressly addresses Code Section 280G and/or Code Section 4999.
Health care provider or "provider" means:
Civil Enforcement Officer means a person authorised by or on behalf of Lancashire County Council in accordance with Section 76 of the Traffic Management Act 2004;
Health care services means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease.
Municipal Law Enforcement Officer means a person appointed under the authority of the Police Services Act for the purpose of enforcing City by-laws.
Telehealth services means the mode of delivering health care services and public health via information and communication technologies to facilitate the diagnosis, consultation, treatment, education, care management, and self-management of a patient's health care while the patient is at the originating site and the provider for telehealth is at a distant site. Telehealth facilitates patient self-management and caregiver support for patients and includes synchronous interactions and asynchronous store and forward transfers.
attorney-client privilege means the protection that applicable law provides for confidential attorney-client communications; and
Negotiation means a transfer of possession, whether voluntary or involuntary, of an instrument by a person other than the issuer to a person who thereby becomes its holder.
Support enforcement agency means a public official or agency authorized to seek:
