Implementation of Strategic Plan Goals. This Agreement supports the County’s Strategic Plan, Goal 1, Operational Effectiveness/Fiscal Sustainability. This Agreement will provide revenue reimbursement to the Department for services rendered.

Participation in OPSG Grant Program leverages resources from the Department and other law enforcement agencies to enhance protection along the land and water borders of the United States.

The Countywide Strategic Plan directs the provision of Community and Municipal Services (Goal 3) by providing enhanced services to all customers in land development and building permitting functions while protecting the interests of County residents in communities where developments occur. FISCAL IMPACT/FINANCING There will be no impact to the County's General Fund as a result of the execution of the Agreement and accepting of the lien by the County.

This recommended action conforms with the County’s Strategic Plan, Goal 1, Operational Effectiveness, and Goal 3, Integrated Services Delivery, by combining resources with Pasadena Police Department; the Department enhances public safety during this event, efficiently delivering much needed services to one of the safety partners within our County. It ensures safety and security to the people of the County, along with the worldwide visitors to this event. All Department costs are fully reimbursed by the city of Pasadena.

These actions are also consistent with the County Strategic Plan Goal of Organizational Effectiveness. The use of an “as-needed” consultant services agreement has enabled Public Works to better manage fluctuations in workload and thereby provide responsive service to our clients.

Approval of the agreement is in accordance with the Countywide Strategic Plan Goals of Fiscal Responsibility and Collaboration Across Jurisdictional Boundaries. Delinquent property taxes and costs are recovered, and the limited-use parcel is identified for appropriate public purposes.
