Imbalance Energy definition

Imbalance Energy means the amount of energy in MWh, in any given Settlement Period or Settlement Interval, by which the amount of Facility Energy deviates from the amount of Scheduled Energy.
Imbalance Energy has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.
Imbalance Energy means the amount of Energy, in any given Settlement Period or Settlement Interval, by which the amount of Metered Energy deviates from the amount of Scheduled Energy.

Examples of Imbalance Energy in a sentence

  • Seller and Buyer shall cooperate to minimize such charges and Uninstructed Imbalance Energy to the extent possible.

  • Such notification shall not alter Seller’s and Buyer’s respective responsibilities for payment for Imbalance Energy and costs and CAISO Penalties under this Agreement.

  • Except as otherwise set forth below, Buyer (as Scheduling Coordinator for the Facility) shall be responsible for CAISO costs (including penalties, Imbalance Energy costs, and other charges) and shall be entitled to all CAISO revenues (including credits, Imbalance Energy revenues, and other payments), including revenues associated with CAISO dispatches, bid cost recovery, Inter-SC Trade credits, or other credits in respect of the Product Scheduled or delivered from the Facility.

  • Buyer shall receive all Green Attributes for the Positive Imbalance Energy in such CAISO settlement interval regardless as to whether it was sold into the CAISO.

  • In no event shall Seller have the right to procure any element of the Product from sources other than the Project for sale or delivery to Buyer under this Agreement [If the Project is located outside of the CAISO: except with respect to Imbalance Energy from the Transmission Provider].


More Definitions of Imbalance Energy

Imbalance Energy means the amount of Energy, in any given settlement period, by which the amount of Delivered Energy deviates from the amount of Scheduled Energy.
Imbalance Energy means Energy, measured in MWh, that (i) was not generated by the Facility but is delivered to PGE as a result of Ancillary Services provided by a Balancing Authority Area or Transmission Provider, or other entity, as applicable, and (ii) is generated by the Facility in excess of Facility Output and delivered to a balancing authority or Transmission Provider or other entity, as applicable.
Imbalance Energy means the amount of Energy, in any given hour, by which the amount of Delivered Energy deviates from the amount of Scheduled Energy.
Imbalance Energy shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.5.
Imbalance Energy means the difference between the energy scheduled by the Seller’s Scheduling Coordinator to the CAISO and the real time energy generated by the Generating Facility as measured by the Generating Plant Electric Revenue Meter.
Imbalance Energy or “IE” shall mean the Project’s instructed deviation from its market award or schedule in either the Day-Ahead Market or Real-Time Market, positive or negative, as measured by Settlement Data from CAISO. Imbalance Energy shall be calculated as Settlement Data minus the applicable market award or schedule from the Day-Ahead Market or Real-Time Market.
Imbalance Energy has the meaning set forth in the Tariff. To the extent this Tariff definition refers to or is applicable to a generation resource, such definition shall apply to the Storage Unit(s) as if the Storage Unit(s) are generation resources.
