  • It is understood that it is the duty of Contractor to prevent the employment of Illegal Aliens, and the County’s right to audit Contractor’s employee records does not evidence or suggest a duty on behalf of County to perform such audit or otherwise police the legal status of Independent Contractor’s employees.

  • County reserves the right to audit Independent Contractor’s employee records without cause or notice to verify that all employees of Independent Contractor are licensed or legally permitted to work in the United States of America and are not Illegal Aliens.

  • Under no circumstances shall either Party be liable to the other Party for special, punitive, indirect or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, including without limitation lost profits, loss of use, or loss of opportunity, except as required by Paragraph 13 (Illegal Aliens).

Related to Illegal Aliens

  • Illegal Activity means the wilful possession of an illegal drug, dangerous object, or stolen item.

  • Illegal drug means a controlled substance; but does not include a controlled substance that is legally possessed or used under the supervision of a licensed health-care professional or that is legally possessed or used under any other authority under that Act or under any other provision of Federal law.

  • Illegal oil or "illegal gas" means oil or gas that has been produced from any well

  • Illegal drugs means a controlled substance except for those legally possessed or used under the supervision of a licensed health-care professional or that is legally possessed or used under any other authority under the Controlled Substances Act or any other federal law.

  • Illegality has the meaning specified in Section 5(b).

  • Illegal product means any product derived in whole or in part from illegal oil or illegal gas.

  • Protected Health Information or PHI means any information, whether oral or recorded in any form or medium: (i) that relates to the past, present or future physical or mental condition of an individual; the provision of health care to an individual; and (ii) that identifies the individual or with respect to which there is a reasonable basis to believe the information can be used to identify the individual, and shall have the meaning given to such term under the Privacy Rule, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Section 164.501. Protected Health Information includes Electronic Protected Health Information [45 C.F.R. Sections 160.103, 164.501].

  • Illegal use of drugs means the use of drugs, the possession or distribution of which is unlawful. Such term does not include the use of a drug taken under the supervision by a licensed health care professional.

  • Ineffective means that the specialist has received two (2) or fewer Satisfactory Component ratings out of the five (5) components in accordance with the Appraisal Criteria in 5.0.

  • Treasurer-Tax Collector means the Treasurer and Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles. (Ord. No. 2009-0026 § 1 (part), 2009.)

  • Veteran means an individual who served in the uniformed services and who was discharged or released from the uniformed services under conditions other than dishonorable.

  • Most serious offense means any of the following felonies

  • Protected Health Information or “PHI” shall have the same meaning as the term “protected health information” in 45 C.F.R. § 160.103, and includes electronic PHI, as defined in 45 C.F.R. 160.103, limited to information created, maintained, transmitted or received by the Business Associate from or on behalf of the Covered Entity or from another Business Associate of the Covered Entity.

  • Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI) means Protected Health Information that is transmitted by electronic media or maintained in any medium described in the definition of electronic media at 45 CFR 160.103.

  • Unsecured Protected Health Information means protected health information that is not secured by a technology standard that renders protected health information unusable, unreadable, or indecipherable to unauthorized individuals and is developed or endorsed by a standards developing organization that is accredited by the American National Standards Institute.

  • Available government assistance means any governmental rental or housing payment benefits available to the individual or any household member.

  • illegal connection means a connection to any system through which a municipal service is provided and that is not authorized or approved by the Municipality;

  • Accident and health insurance means contracts that incorporate morbidity risk and provide protection against economic loss resulting from accident, sickness, or medical conditions and as may be specified in the valuation manual.

  • Exhibition Venue means the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre situated at 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai, Hong Kong or such other venue designated by the Organiser and notified to the Exhibitor in writing prior to the commencement of the Exhibition.

  • Nonresident means every person who is not a resident of this state.

  • Deputy Mayor means the councillor who is appointed by council, pursuant to section 34 of this bylaw, to act as mayor in the absence or incapacity of the mayor.
