hours of work means time during which seafarers are required to do work on account of the ship;
hours of work means the time on any day during which employees are at the disposal of the employer, exclusive of intervals allowed for meals and rest;

More Definitions of hours of work

hours of work means the time during which an employee is at the disposal of the employer and is not free to dispose of his own time and movements exclusive of any intervals allowed for rest and meals;
