Hong Kong Convention means The Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009.

Hong Kong Convention. – means Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmen- tally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009.
Hong Kong Convention means the International Maritime Organization's convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009 together with the guidelines to be issued by the International Maritime Organization in connection with such convention. "IFRS" means international accounting standards within the meaning of the IAS Regulation 1606/2002, as the same may be updated from time to time, to the extent applicable to the relevant financial statements. "Impaired Agent" means the Agent at any time when: (a) it has failed to make (or has notified a party to a Finance Document that it will not make) a payment required to be made by it under the Finance Documents by the due date for payment; (b) the Agent otherwise rescinds or repudiates a Finance Document; (c) (if the Agent is also a Lender), it is a Defaulting Lender under paragraph (a) or (b) of the definition of "Defaulting Lender"; or (d) an Insolvency Event has occurred and is continuing with respect to the Agent; unless, in the case of paragraph (a) above: (i) its failure to pay is caused by: (A) administrative or technical error; or (B) a Disruption Event; and (ii) payment is made within 10 Business Days of its due date; or
Hong Kong Convention means the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009 adopted at a diplomatic conference held in Hong Kong, China, from 11 to 15 May 2009.

  • Hong Kong Business Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks in Hong Kong are open for normal business, provided that where as a result of a number 8 typhoon signal, black rainstorm warning or other similar event, the period during which banks in Hong Kong are open on any day is reduced, such day shall not be a Hong Kong Business Day unless the Manager and the Depositary determine otherwise or such other day or days as the Manager and the Depositary may determine.

  • Applicable Business Day Convention means the “Business Day Convention” which may be specified in the Final Terms as applicable to any date in respect of the Instruments. Where the Final Terms specifies “No Adjustment” in relation to any date, such date shall not be adjusted in accordance with any Business Day Convention. Where the Final Terms fails either to specify an applicable Business Day Convention or “No Adjustment” for the purposes of an Interest Payment Date or an Interest Period End Date, then in the case of Instruments which bear interest at a fixed rate, “No Adjustment” shall be deemed to have been so specified and in the case of Instruments which bear interest at a floating rate, the Modified Following Business Day Convention shall be deemed to have been so specified. Different Business Day Conventions may apply, or be specified in relation to, the Interest Payment Dates, Interest Period End Dates and any other date or dates in respect of any Instruments.

  • Safety Convention means the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (a copy of the English text of the articles of which, and of part of the annex to which, is set forth in Schedule 4), as affected by any amendment, other than an amendment objected to by Australia, made under Article VIII of that Convention and, after the date on which the Protocol of 1978 relating to the Safety Convention enters into force for Australia, as also affected by that Protocol;

  • Business Day Convention means the first following day that is a Business Day unless that day falls in the next calendar month, in which case that date will be the first preceding day that is a Business Day.

  • Preceding Business Day Convention means that the relevant date shall be brought forward to the first preceding day that is a Business Day;

  • Conventions means the Athens Convention Relating to the Carriage of Passengers and Their Luggage by Sea, 1974, and the Protocols thereto of 1976 and 1990, and, where applicable, the Strasbourg Convention on the Limitation of Liability in Inland Navigation, 1988.

  • Following Business Day Convention means that the relevant date shall be postponed to the first following day that is a Business Day;
